good luck, that is the toughest lake ever to fish. I had a little luck last weekend fishing a worm on a shelf around an island. get that shaky head ready

I fished a white fluke just below duncan bridge about 2 weeks ago we put 3 over 2lbs in the boat we were fishing late in the afternoon waiting on it to get dark...If you are going to fish up in the day find you long shallow creek or a hidden cove or you will get wiped off the water for all the PWC and skiers...I recommend fishing late at night for stripe around the lights...

This time of the year, you better fish at night or at daylight-'till first jet ski shows up. I like fishing Smith, but there is alot of pleasure boaters & jet ski's to deal with in the summer.

Butler Branch located across the main channel from Clear Creek ain't too bad. Also leaving Clear Creek headed toward Duncan Bridge, Devil's Branch is a good area to fish. Of course I haven't fished Smith for about 12 years. laugh
