From a LEOs standpoint. I love my job and I love helping people. I have a great boss who is a true conservative and firmly believe in the 2nd Amendment the rule of law. However I cannot say what he would do in any situation that would involve the rights of the people. I would hope I’d know what he’d do. As far as myself, I would chit can this job in a second if If was asked to go against my beliefs or against someone’s civil liberties. I don’t need this job to survive. I’m good and my family is good. I would also think that many would feel the same way as I. I’d be a fool to think that all would. There are LOTS of LEOs out there that think they are above you and will do anything they are ordered to. We have this in our Dept. They usually don’t last long with us and move on to other places where this is asked of them. I truly believe in my heart that more would stand with the people then against. Some of y’all are judging all LEOs by what you see on tv, but the tv doesn’t show or tell you how many LEOs told the higher ups to KMA and went home. There is one thing you can believe is that different people will do different things. One thing with me is I got your back if you got mine. Thanks for posting that. I know that makes folks feel better. Still... It's hard to ignore history. Besides any kind of evil regime worth its salt, would fire decent folks like you and replace every one of you with other evil people. The only people that Hitler couldn't replace was the entire Wehrmacht and it was them that almost were successful in killing him. It has already started in the military. Look who have been moved up the ranks and what they are doing now. Look at the service members who have been forced out for not complying. Good solid military men are leaving the service because of what it is becoming. Police forces are beginning to do the same thing. Through political channels and more rapidly the last few years with the demonizing and defending of police, good officers are leaving. In both cases we will be left with doers and not thinkers.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

I hope we don't get validation for why some of us have argued so passionately against militarization of local police forces.

Here’s something to ponder. Let’s say one of the officers on a force says KMA I ain’t doing it. Now, he’s put a bullseye on his own back and now he’s on the other side. His colleagues know him personally, he knows them personally and professionally. Do you think they will let someone who knows all the information about the police force and all the other officers just up and switch sides in a situation like that? Y’all do realize there are way more country boy LEOs in this country then big city LEOs right. I can promise you them Country boys will stick together way more the the city boys will.
