I am looking to get SeaDeck installed in my 18 ft aluminum CC. I don't want to do it myself because I am just getting lazy in my old age. Who would you recommend between Birmingham and Montgomery.

I have been considering becoming a dealer/installer for them. I'm not, so I can't help you, but I have wondered how much of a demand they're would be up here in North Bama.

Some buddies of mine have done it using a cheaper version you can buy on Amazon. This boat I plan to keep for years to come so I don't mind spending the extra money to get it done professionally. My front deck will melt my shoes in the summer... gets really hot.

When the time comes I would love to have it installed in mine.

I installed Gatortrax on mine several years ago and have been very pleased with it.

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Looking at HydroDeck(?) myself. Careful about the Amazon stuff. It is not a durable as the name brand. Do a search on YouTube and look at the difference in quality.

I wouldn't recommend it at all. Coming from a guy who has $6k worth of it.

You wouldn’t recommend SeaDeck? Or the other brands?

It all will need to be replaced in a couple of years if you fish hard. I’ll just have a new interior gel coat done for $1500 every few years if I really need it, but then again I fish saltwater and carpets or sea dek are about pointless.

I did a knock off brand of seadeck on my bass tracker and have been pleased with it. I did it myself and it wasn’t to bad, now it’s not perfect l, but suitable for me. I was doing good at the beginning but as the process continued, my measurements and cuts turned into close enough.

To follow this up... I trailered my boat 40 miles on Tuesday. I had 2 pieces of newly installed seadek blow loose during the hall. This boat hasn't even been on the water since the latest install. This was round 3 of them trying to fix their horrid product.
