My son bought a 16x40 portable cabin style building. He had spray foam insulation put in it. I wired it and had a friend of mine help us finish it. Looks beautiful. He's having a hard time getting it insured. Anybody know who will insure it?

I could see most people avoiding it based on the small size and hard to locate value comps.

I had some issues with our current living arrangements. None of the national carriers would insure me, so my agent/friend said go to the farm bureau. They had no issues, but it is a bit high.

So, I'd try ALFA

I’d like to see some pictures.
I’m about to build a camp on my place and have seriously considered doing this exact thing.

Alfa wont insure it. Not a house, not a trailer, and not an RV. Stupid.

Swamp hunter, thank you so much for getting my son's tiny home insured. We'll sleep better at night. That storm last night was making a beeline towards it, until it dissipated.

You are very welcome! Glad we could get it done for him and appreciate the business. And glad all are safe from that storm.
