If you plead not guilty and the officer doesn't show up to court.....Yes they will throw it out....

Young man’s tax. They finally broke me of constantly speeding but it took several thousand dollars before it could take hold.

If you plead not guilty and the officer doesn't show up to court.....Yes they will throw it out.... Maybe, but not always. The judge can, and often does, elect to set a trail date. If you have entered a plea of not guilty and the officer does not show up for the trail then the charges will be dropped. The more likely result is that if you appear in court and express your intention to dispute the ticket a trail date can be set. BUT then most likely the city attorney will offer you the ability to plead to a minor traffic violation in return for paying a lower fine and not have a trail date set. He also might change the charge to an offence that does not carry points or affect your insurance. Also if the cop does not show up and you plead not guilty, this may send a message to the court that he may not be serious about prosecuting the case further.you may move the court to dismiss the case. Please note however, that this depends on his reasons for not showing up. He may have cogent reasons for being absent and if these reasons are brought to the court's notice, The most you will get will be a continuation of your hearing

No. There was a car in front of me. Trooper was parked on side of road. Pointed same way I was traveling. I was traveling same speed as car in front of me.

No. There was a car in front of me. Trooper was parked on side of road. Pointed same way I was traveling. I was traveling same speed as car in front of me. I believe the biggest vehicle is the loser. My Son went to driving school this morning for failing to stop in a four lane for a school bus, reduced cost and kept off his record, knuckle head.
