There seems to be a big demand for the browning safari bar and the Marlin levers more and more lately! (Both steel receiver guns) I’d love to buy a bar safari but no one has any, also looked for a Marlin xlr and they’re non existent! Covid can’t have this big of an effect on them, why all of a sudden a big desire for these?

Because they are great rifles probably. Most people are just holding on to what they already have and naturally there’s a shortage of guns and ammo due to the crazy times we are living in. I’d hold off on a lever until ruger starts putting some out. The reviews are looking really good on those, possibly better than the old JM stamped ones.

From my understanding BAR are only dealt once a year. The supply is always on a limited basis in other words. That’s for new ones, and I’m not sure exactly what you are looking for, but most people hold onto those when they have them.

I've also wondered how the nearly two years of Covid has knocked Browning's rifle and shotgun production down to nearly nothing at times. One of the dealers I know who used to sell a lot of Brownings tells me that he just about can't get anything from Browning now.

In late 2020 I wanted a Browning Silver Hunter 20 gauge that was and still is "in production" according to the Browning website, but the company isn't really producing and shipping that much of anything now judging by the evidence.

I honestly think its because they are selling every cheaper to manufacture gun they can produce (all gun vendors) so why bother with the more expensive ones?
