As long as Auburn don’t goof up completely, win the SEC season and tournament then they’ll be a 1 seed and that’s all that matters

They win tonight and Saturday and they’ll be number one. Problem solved.

That Bruce Pearl is something else aint he... ......Didnt take him but what....coupla 2 or 3 yrs for him to bring Aubie B ball from the same dump the football program is in now to having a Top 10 basketball team last 2 yrs....I heard he is into some deep DEEEP boosters pockets.... .....

Pearl has been at AU since 2014. Took a little time to build it like he wants it; I don't remember them being top 10 last year.

AU received 36 first-place votes and Gonzaga, the No 1 team, got 25. But Gonzaga got more votes for 2nd and 3rd so they are ahead.

The rationale that I saw was Zaga's schedule has been more challenging based on the KenPom ratings or whatever ratings are used. Also, that scurllous dickwhistler in Kansas voted them 9th, which is nothing more than a bias vote for some reason.

So, they're 2nd in the AP Poll. However, in the ESPN rankings they're the top seed for the tournament, and they're No. 1 in one or two other meaningless rankings-polls. The one that matters for March is the AP Poll, though. I think eight of their last 14 games are in Auburn, too, which is good for them.

Looking pretty good against an overmatched Georgia squad. The aggies gave UK a good battle. Saturday should be fun. I expect Auburn to drop a couple they shouldn’t. But I’ve said that for weeks and they just keep winning.

When I was at Auburn in the late eighties/early nineties, the only basketball games that sold out were Alabama and Kentucky. I only went to a handful of games in my time there and was lucky to see Rex Chapman play. He was awesome.

Now all of the basketball games are sold out and not the football games.

Kentucky, Bama, LSU when they had some guys and Dale Brown was rolling ... all were sellouts. The rest, not so much but probably only the uppermost rows of B-MC were bare. The place was cavernous, as evidenced by the sparse crowds for Ellis, Lebo and Dickhead.

A family of 4 can spend a week at the beach for the same price as 4 auburn basketball tickets.

Tickets in the upper deck , back row were going for 384 dollars for non SEC opponents. I would like to go, but not paying that for a basketball game.
