For once in our marriage, I’ll make my own sammiches. My wife could feed me a chit sammich and I’d likely not know it. Eating is definitely different now. I stop eating when I’m full and realize that I often over eat because of the taste alone. As a result, I have dropped a few lbs. This is definitely some strange crap.

My smell is off but not my taste yet.

Been about a year for me and both taste and smell are still way off.

My smell and taste was bad off up until yesterday from that crap. It wasn't that I lost taste.. Everything tasted "bad". Coffee was flat out putrid tasting. Toothpaste tasted like burnt charcoal smells. Honey mustard tasted like ammonia smells. I'm sure I had to of lost some weight.

Guess it affects folks differently. I never lost either.

I can still taste and smell. I just don’t have much of an appetite

To make it worse, when I do get hungry nothing satisfies my craving.

I got Covid the week before Christmas. I lost taste and smell completely for about 4-5 days then it gradually came back. I too lost a few lbs and came to the conclusion that I had been eating as a hobby.

Its been a year this past Christmas when i got it. It took 2 weeks for my smell and taste to come back but to this day i can no longer eat pepperoni pizza where the pepperoni is crunchy on top or very crispy bacon. I used to love both but they are a no go for me now.

I didn't lose mine completely but definitely reduced the amount I did taste. And yes definitely made things taste a bit different.

I have not totally lost either but there are definite changes. I tried to drink a Pepsi yesterday and after two sips, I threw it away. Tasted totally off and seems like any sweet stuff is just not right. Coffee doesn’t taste the same either. I’m just getting better from the virus this week, so I have limited things I’ve tried so far. Smell is a bit diminished, but still there.
My son got the first bout of COVID back in August of 2020 and still has very little taste or smell.

I had covid Christmas 2020, lost 100% of my taste and smell. 13 months later most of both are back but different. I smell smoke alot of times and some things just don't taste/smell like I remember. I used to love the smell of coffee but now it smells like sulfur and don't taste much better. This chit sucks.
