I've read where if a cell cam is placed in an area that doesn't have good service,it will emit something or another that have been known to scare deer. Doesn't seem to be a problem where a cell signal is constant bc whatever it produces is always there. I saw it in an Exodus trail cam video.

T-Dog a couple tips for you on cameras with red led flash or any camera for that matter. Elevate the camera as high as you can reach or better yet stand on truck, 4 wheeler or UTV. You will loose some coverage distance by doing this but if you are running cameras over a feeders or scrape the coverage area is small anyway. I buy the screw in trail camera mounts Camofire has listed every Tuesday. They come 3 to a pack and work very well for mounting cameras up high. My second bit of advice would be to get rid of the red led cameras and go with no glow such as the Spartan Gocam or the tactacam reveal XB.

Since I have started mounting my cameras up high and out of their line of sight my pictures have increased, rarely spooks deer and I continue to get same deer on camera. The are a couple studies out on this approach and it absolutely makes a difference.

I make my own screw in camera deals. I think someone mentioned a while back that the spypoint camera's don't send you every pic they take.

I put a new camera out on a feeder that has been out for maybe two weeks and I am getting alot of pics on it. No big bucks yet. I have a spypoint on my other feeder, and nothing is hitting it. Very frustrating.

Thanks squeaky - I started putting them up around 6 1/2 feet this year - can tell That hight helps - i gone do what u saying and get them up higher - I was only putting stick behind mine to angle down

Think what u saying will help lot - May just back the truck up and get in truck to elevate

I need to get rid of the red flash - thanks - I read a little bit about elevating camera before season - makes heck of lot of sense
Thanks

I notice the deer don’t like the cell cams near as much as my old cams and if I look at them late they got a huge red flash. My buck field usually gets 400 pics a night (down a little due to heat but get bunch deer feeding) on my old browning cam - the bucks use the feeder - most relaxed spot I hv for feeding (deer finally accepted camera)
I put the cell cam there yesterday- 0 pics of a deer actually feeding and probably 35 pics total

Any of u guys see this same BS? I moved one of my cell to road patrol which I really like - about to cut the one I just put up to every 5 min and if I gets no deer feeding - will be hard to leave up. One field I hav no cam due to spooking - May turn them all off and I only hav road cams at Camden

My deer not digging the cell cams - u guys see the same ? I moved cams high up in tree this year and angle down - that helped my non cell cams - don’t look like crap will help these cell cams

Thanks

I'm guessing it's not the cams. I think your property's getting human visitors

I see similar instances on my Browning Cell cam vs my Regular Browning Trail Cams. The flash seems brighter and they do not like it. Video mode will show you the difference.

U can see it when u walk by them - my cell cams have 10 times the red flash as my regular cams - heck my other moultrie cell scared me the first time I walked by it when I had it on the road

I think raising them up like Squeaky said and getting rid of red flash is way to go

Find you 1 climbing stick to use to get off the ground to get your cameras more elevated. I've been doing that for 2 seasons now.

One of the ladies at Cuddeback told my wife and me that their cell cams will not function fully proper at an angle. I had put a few up in a tree a couple years back and was having some of the same issues you are having. Don't know if that will help but I dropped mine down and went fully perpendicular to the ground and all of them work great now.

Hang it higher with a slight tilt down.
