Never lost either.Developed a serious sensitivity to salt though. Anything processed tasted like I was eating a box of salt. Had a fever for 12 days until I took horse wormer (ivermectin). Monoclonal antibodies didn't provide any relief. Maybe they kept me from getting worse Coughed for a month.
Funny you mention that doc, cause I've noticed the same thing with salt 🤷🏼♂️

Looks like I'm guilty. Is that a home test? Showing you have the flu? It came from my relative's office who is an M.D.. He says I have Covid. Thanks

It affected me the same way with salt.
Lots of stuff taste extra salty to me.
I don't put any extra salt on anything I eat now.

I haven’t completely lost it but it’s been noticeably affected. There’s a constant smell like a combination of kerosene and burnt hair. All the time. As far as taste.....I can tell the difference in water and Gatorade for example, but if I did a blind taste test in different Gatorade flavors I couldn’t tel them apart. I can tell if I’m eating something sweet, salty, etc.......but couldn’t nail down an actual flavor
That’s crazy, because I have experienced the same things. I couldn't taste some things . Could not taste a mountain dew but could sweet tea . Since then 24 hours a day I smell a gassy greese rag This too. Never lost either.Developed a serious sensitivity to salt though. Anything processed tasted like I was eating a box of salt.
Funny you mention that doc, cause I've noticed the same thing with salt 🤷🏼♂️ I’ve been the same way with salt, too. And peanut butter tastes spicy to me now, like a black/cayenne pepper flavor. This really pisses me off because a sleeve of saltines and a jar of Jiff has always been my go to snack. Even Ritz crackers have a strange taste. They taste like smoke. I’d like to get my hands on the SOB’s that put this shucks on us.

I also can’t stand the taste of Tony’s seasoning now and I have always loved it on everything.
Any type of white sauce makes me nauseous. From Mayo to Alfredo sauce. Don’t even want to see it and I have never had a weak stomach.

13 months later and this thread made me realize that I haven’t noticed the strange metallic dust smell in a couple of weeks. Maybe it is gone. It wasn’t terrible or anything but it wasn’t pleasant either, just odd.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

My wife and I lost both taste and smell and it continues now for 7th day. Bacon tastes like salt to us. Cannot smell or taste a banana or peanut butter.
A side benefit is the Vitamin regimen the Lung Dr. gave us is that the daily 325mg aspirin and the B1 (thiamin) seemed to have alleviated swollen and aching finger joints and a pressed nerve in my left foot. We had already been taking the standard vitamin prevention load for the CCP flu.
The infusion (4 shots in the belly) for us was a game changer.
Hope you feel better soon!

Wife and I have been sick for a month. Both of us are vaccinated. Cough all day. Thank goodness we are on vacation.
