I would like for the coaches to be honest in interviews. I would have liked for Nick to say " We didn't try anything fancy tonight. We knew we were far superior to them and we just lined up and whooped there tales the old fashion way. That is all we needed to do tonight to win." And Kirby to say, "We played great, but we all knew we had better athletes at every position on the field. We knew there top ranked o line couldn't handle our d line and that hutchinson was way over rated and wouldn't really be a factor." At least thats the way I saw it.

What could it hurt. I agree would be nice to hear their real thoughts. I bet they watched film walked into the coaches meeting and say I dont see how they will score or stop us from scoring. Bama ran the first 10 plays told you everything you needed to know.

There are stories that when Alabama played Notre Dame for the national championship the entire Alabama team busted out laughing after the first 5 minutes of the coaches going over Notre Dames film study.

Can’t remember where I read it but basically it said most of the ND team knew the game was over when Alabama walked out of my the locker room and passed by them in the tunnel. It was men among boys in size.

Rick Neuheisel said on Sirius XM that he was standing next to the tunnel when the teams came onto the field for pregame warmups (both teams share the same tunnel at Hard Rock Stadium). He said that ND came out first, then Alabama. Said he knew as soon as Bama came out of the tunnel that Notre Dame was in bad trouble.

The commentators kept talking about the size differential the other night during the Bama/Cincinnatti game. Bama's D isn't as big as it used to be during the ND game, Saban wanted smaller players to be able to chase down the mobile quarterbacks and be ready to play up tempo.

I think Cincinnati's biggiest defensive lineman is like 285#.
I think Alabama's smallest offensive lineman is like 310#.

At half time they asked Brian Kelly what ND needed to happen to have a chance to win the game. Don't remember his exact quote but it was something like, We need for that other team to not come back out on the field for us to have a chance(wish I knew how to google the interview and link it). One of funniest and as to original post, most honest and accurate half time quotes ever.

Yeah I remember when Brian Kelly said he hopes maybe Alabama won't come back out for the second half. I couldn't believe a head coach would say that. I remember wondering what the ND boosters, President, and fanbase thought when he said that.

He basically told the ND fans at the game to go ahead and leave now so they could beat the traffic.
