Those of you dont know who he was, EO Wilson was just an Alabama boy who liked to study ants and changed our understanding of life. https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/science/obituary-modern-day-darwin-eo-wilson-dies-92-2021-12-27/

I met him once and got to shake his hand. I also saw many of his lecturers. He was brilliant.

"E.O. Wilson, an American naturalist dubbed the modern day Darwin whose interest in ants led him to conclusions about human nature being directed by genetics rather than culture..."

Genetics? "No way that can be true!" Says the Leftists.

Didnt know he was from Alabama.

Seems like drawing the island biogeography graph has saved many points on tests. Seems like every time anyone doesnt know how to answer a question that is the default. Thanks to both MacAurher and Wilson.

He was a giant for sure.

Another loss from a great generation. Never met him but a good friend of mine was influenced heavily by him and built the "E O Wilson Biophilia Center" in Walton County, FL. to "educate on the importance of biodiversity, to promote sustainability, and to encourage conservation, preservation, and restoration of ecosystems."

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

The sociobiology book came later... His earlier works were much more focused on Biology/Biodiversity. His theories in most part portray "the collective" in a positive way and he has been cannonized by the left for that reason.

The fact that more stuff is not named after him or he’s not made into a bigger deal in Mobile his hometown is baffling.

He didn’t play football and he wasn’t a politician.

There’s a tribute to him at UA’s campus in the Alabama Natural History Museum.

How old do you think I am? To be clear, I didn't say he wrote the book but his theories on Biosociology were mentioned in it.

As an undergraduate ecology major I read The Diversity of Life by E.O. Wilson and it heavily influenced me. It is a lot easier to read than Darwin.

It's not the strongest species to survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change. - Charles Darwin

???
I was just conversating... for all I know you may be the world's expert on EO Wilson's writings.

Just trying to add to the conversation. But every green communist Ive ever met idolizes the man and has all the later "social" books visable on their bookshelves. That is all.
