Sorry you have to go through this, we have been through this a few times and it is never easy. Each time we wonder if we will get another pet but do eventually and while they don't replace the one you lost, they hopefully will also turn into a great companion and slowly fill the the loss. A puppy can't help but be cute and loving and quickly steals your heart. Looking back, we probably should have found our next pet more quickly.
