It'll kill deer. The deer will be no more or less dead than dozens and dozens of other capable deer killing calibers.
Ammo has been fairly scarce and expensive.

I thought real hard about a 6.5 prc instead of a 308 in the bergara hmr i bought but barrel life ammo availability and cost made me stick with the 308
We will burn that bridge when we get there
