I have Moultrie (2 Deltas & 1 XV6000). The XV6000 is OK but the Delta sucks balls. I washed my hands of Moultrie and I have been a Moultrie fan since 2008 (probably spend more than 10G on cameras with them). I bought a Tactacam RevealX The other day to test the waters and I love it. It gets a signal where Moultrie gets none. I went to buy more of the Tactacams when I got back (there were 6 on the shelf) and they are all gone. I am ordering 3 more and and not spending another dime with Moultrie

I have 4 tactacams = like'em. Pics a bit blurry but you can pay for HD
2 Moultrie - M7k and m6k, no issues/good pics. Had them a few years and they are out year 'round
1 Walmart Spypoint for a year, no issues except they're not built for lots of rain

On the CHEAP tactacam due to CS and plan prices,
$$$$ go Spartan

I tried a Stealth cam Fusion, the one from Sam's that's $99 with a card and batteries. I haven't had it long, but I like it so far. The $5 a month plan is the reason I went that route.

Cuddelink. I have had a set of 6 cameras out for over a year in Missouri with solar panels and they haven’t missed a beat. You pay one cell plan and can link up to 21 cameras on one plan. Haven’t tried them in Alabama yet have had several SPYPOINTs out with issues from all of them.

I have Spartan, MoultrieMobile and Spypoint cam and the link. The Spartan takes the best pic by far and the MoultrieMobile is good on something standing still in the daytime. I actually have the MoultrieMobile on my main gate just because it sucks when it comes to pic quality. In al fairness the MoultrieMobile has been the most dependable and always works. The spypoint is a good little cam for the money but the pics are not nearly as good as the Spartan.

Wing home, anybody ever tried one? Guy at work has one, pictures he showed me looked good. He has no complaints and I think he said unlimited for $9/month.

Reconyx makes a great camera. 5 year full warranty and great customer service. Only downside is they are very expensive, but you get what you pay for. Great trigger speed.

For what I use cameras for I have to have something that is very reliable and the ability to transmit in areas with marginal cell service, so I bought initially based on price. My first venture was the Spypoint Link S which turned out to be a mistake, too many tasks to keep it working with firmware updates etc. and it doesn't do well in marginal areas, the only good thing about it is the solar panel. I switched to Reconyx and haven't looked make, very reliable GREAT trigger speed and will send pictures in very marginal areas i added their solar panel so it lasts forever

I have a Tactacam and a Spartan - both are good - Spartan pros: better pics and more bells and whistles, good customer service cons: poor battery life and cost - Tactacam pros: not as expensive, very easy to set up, great battery life, no issues so I don’t have experience with customer service Cons: red IR Vs black, but new models have black but are more expensive

All in all both Spartan and Tactacam have worked well for me and if I was going to buy another would probably go with the newer Tactacam- the battery life is a big advantage for me

I have a spypoint and it seems to work at my club, however, for some reason it takes way more pics during hunting season and it seems to basically stop when the season ends. Lots of pics of nothing, even with the sensitivity turned down.

Never had an issue with picture quality. Just seems to be hit or miss
Never had firmware issues either..
