Had 2 does and 2 babies about try to climb in the ladder stand with me. About 15 min later here comes a coyote right down the trail they had came. Derr left....coyote didnt... Good job sir !

Busy afternoon. Easily over 40 out feeding by 4:45. Saw plenty of 3 yr olds and younger. Just not the ones we want to kill. Rut is in cusp of breaking loose. I’d say Dec 1 it’s gonna be prime time.

Hell I had 12 standing within 30 yds of my truck when I walked out. Deer were everywhere today

I use to hunt high density areas in Marengo county similar to that - but could never imagine a Dec 1st rut in Bama
More like Jan 21st here

Never hunted LA but lived there few years - did not know that about their rut
Arky rut use to come in around Nov 5-10 ish - growing up in Marengo county - hearing of a Bama rut Dec 1 just hard to wrap mind around
