I bought a couple of the little spypoint solar cellular units on the ATT network the other day. Set them up, got on the network and I'm not getting the service I was expecting in my area. Has anyone else run into this ? I'm on ATT's cellular broadband for our homes internet so I should have enough signal strength but it's showing around 25% signal and will not email / download the photos.

Anyone else run into this with the spypoint cams ?

I ordered 2 long range antennas and hope that fixes this issue. If it doesn't somebody who has good results with their network will be getting some cameras on the cheap in the classifieds.

I don't have spypoint anymore, but when I did I think they would send pics with 25% signal...but who knows how well that percentage is actually being reported. Usually firmware is the problem most people have.

Buy you one of those cheap $10 cell camera antenna boosters on amazon. I had the same issue and those little antenna boosters fixed the issue 100%. These cameras are on skyline mountain where cell service is non existent.

I used two in IN last week and had that 25% signal showing on one and 65% on other and they were probably 700 yds apart?
Both did send pics though. Make sure you set it to send you a pic at next trigger activation when setting up.

I bought the two pack at A$$ Pr@ when I traded in a non-working Browning. Gave $119 plus tax for two.

I may be singing the blues later in the year. We'll see.

I got the spypoint units. Wasn't going to chance it being wrong.

With SP you cant expect them to work as advertised all recommendations previously will help you might want to set the transmission to one picture at a time seems to help in marginal signal areas

Mine will only work on the south side of this mountain. If i put them on any north facing slope, they dont work

Yep. I've got 10 I'm fixing to throw in my pond. Damn things will probably start sending pics of fish then. The most consistent part of Spypoint is the billing .

I know I'm formatted and set up correctly because when I'm at the office troubleshooting the thing works like it's supposed to. It's only when I get it out to my hunting property that it acts up. The thing that throws me is the fact I have ATT wireless internet and it works great in the same area. Makes no sense. I hope to eliminate the signal problem with the antennas, but if that doesn't do it, they gone.

I couldn't get the antenna to work for me. I tried two different styles (this one and a short/fat style) and both ended up with ZERO signal strength the same as with no antenna attached at all. I'm not dead certian that the Micro's are compatible with them. I'm not saying don't try it but save the packaging so you can easily return it just in case. Verizon put up a new tower near me and made it all a mute point recently.

On another note, my spypoints will occasionally tell me they have low signal strength but never seem to miss a beat with actual transmission of photos. I've learned to just disregard it as it seems like a glitch as they now have full strength signal as the norm.
