My neighbor passed away and the power was off in the house a while and the food in the refrigerator spoiled. Was a mess. They took in out in the yard and cleaned it out but then left it in the yard, open, for a month. They decided they didn’t want it so I took it, cleaned it up again and plugged it up in my basement. It gets power (lights on) but compressor won’t come on?? It’s two years old.Any ideas or does it become an ammo cabinet....

Been standing upright the whole time?

Most of those little compressors have small relay on the compressor that is common to fail. May be the case here

Watched a video on replacing the starter relay. Even I can do that! And it’s only $10-13

Do the both fans come on. .

Fans are not coming on, interior light does

Internal fans are on a bi-metal switch that turns on after the coil cools off so they don’t circulate warm air inside the box. If the condenser fan( external by the compressor) is on then the thermostat is sending power to the compressor. Indicates a bad start relay, compressor overload or the compressor itself is bad. With a meter it wouldn’t take but a few minutes to diagnose it properly. If the compressor ohms out then I’d try a aftermarket 3n1 ( start capacitor, start relay and overload in one unit). Results are mixed but you may get lucky.
