Maybe a Ruger 77/357??? If you can find one. Any lever gun is going to be at least $1000.00
EDIT: Even the one 77/357 on GunBroker has 16 bids at $1000.01

Thanks. I’m kind of new to gun buying in general, so I didn’t really know if those gunbroker prices are crazy high in general or what. I’ve bought plenty of barrels for my TC, but for the most part I’ve just operated on hand me down guns. Any lower price options non-lever for 44 mag or 45-70? If not sounds like I need to stick with my TC platform.

You may want to look for and H&R or NEF in 45-70...You can get those for around 300-400 Newer Marlin .44 mags are going for around $800-$900 on gun broker. Or were a couple weeks ago when I sold one

The .357 Marlins and Rossi’s show up here from time to time but they get scooped up mighty quick.

I’ve seen either a Henry or or another make possibly Puma .357 in the last year for around $800 if I remember correctly.
It was a Rossi not Puma.

We just bought a new Rossi Stainless 20” .357 in august for $625 from a LGS. It’s smoother than the 24” used one from 7 years ago started out being. They slick up fine with the video and spring kit from Nate “Kowa” Jones of Steve’s Gunz. That and sitting around in the winter and cycling it a bunch to smooth things out. The 24” er started out as a case crunching clunky jamathoner.

I've got a NEF Handi-Rifle, originally in .357 magnum but have had the chamber extended to .357 maximum. Mild recoil and 2000 fps with 180gr Hornady XTP handloads. It'll do 1 MOA when I do my part. Hoping to take a deer or pig with it this season.
