Anybody hunt Missouri in November on a yearly basis? I’m headed to North East Missouri on November 8th-12th. Just trying to get a general idea on peak rut. In years past the peak has been the 6th-10th but hearing they are about a week behind this year.

They were cruising last weekend up on the iowa border. Depending how far north you are you could be hitting it pretty good. That will be peak activity for where I hunt. But Im south of where you are talking about.

I'd worry more about the weather. Right now it is 22 degrees where I'm at but will be in the 70's this weekend. That will control movement about as much as whether your +/- a few days one way or the other.

I'll be in NW Missouri on the Kansas line 11/10-18 as well. Hoping our farmer gets his corn harvested this week as I really don't want to deal with standing corn.

I did a contract in Cape Girardeau back in 18-19 man I loved it there. I went to a place way after the run called Woodson Woods and saw some deer.

What about Lincoln Co Missouri? Anybody hunted there? Just NW of St. Louis so I wondered if the city slickers kept it beat down

Cape is my hometown, but woodson woods is out by steelville and that area isnt known for deer. If I was working out of state in Cape I'd go over to shawnee national forest in Illinois.

But, glad you liked it. It was a great place to grow up. Though I hunt farther North.

Yeah what I thought lol.

They will still be chasing then. Don’t worry about what anybody says. Rut happens like clockwork at the same time every year. Be there anytime from Nov 1- Nov 20 and you’re going to see some activity.

It was super slow last weekend where I was (the whole county). Just the little bucks moving during daylight. But a few guys I know were up on the iowa border and were seeing 10+ mature deer per day. It'll really start picking up between now and next week. But the hot weather forcasted may slow it down some. Luvkily pivkenspete will be too early for the lockdown which usually starts between the 14-20 of the month. It can get tough then.

I just got back from a bow hunt in west central. I’m going back in a few days for a gun hunt in northwest. Bucks were crushing /chasing the last few days.

Anywhere near a major city you will have about 41,348 hunters at any given time.

Had 5 different buck on camera from 11:54 am -1:13pm yesterday, only two were 4 plus in age. They were cutting about 80 acres of standing corn yesterday afternoon next to me. Another farm about 500 yards away cut their corn Wednesday.

I saw alot of deer at Woodson woods and a shucks load of old sign. I didn't get to go until after Thanksgiving that year. Man I wish I could've gone when the rut was in. I also wanted to try Reform but never did
