What’s for dinner tonight boys?

A Southern Fall classic here at the house - Chicken Stew and a hot pan of cornbread.

Here's our ingredients list, follows one we found off a website minus sugar they put in their recipe which is an abomination IMO. We also sub in canned potatoes to save time and it really isn't worth the extra time to cut and peel potatoes to us.

Ingredients:
1 chicken
2 lg onions chopped
7 cups water
4 cups canned tomatoes
2 cups diced or sliced canned potatoes
2 cups canned whole kernel corn
2 Tablespoon butter
Salt/Pepper to taste

Simmer or crockpot the chicken until done and tender, remove meat from bones and set aside. Skim off the fat from the top of the broth and keep the broth for your soup stock. Add in your tomatoes, corn, and onions to the broth and simmer covered for 20 minutes. Add in your chicken and potatoes and simmer uncovered for 45 mins or longer. Stir in your butter before you serve it, adds a little extra something to it to make it mo betta.
