I thought about doing a 2 or 3 day camp and hunt with my son and a friend from church on bankhead during the muzzleloader week. Not sure yet if it will be tent, truck, or camper. My friend from church took their old van and has a bed in it. We could just park where we plan to hunt and sleep in it. We plan to hunt the forest and not WMA. Im not sure on the regulations, by that can you just camp anywhere or do you have to go to a designated camp ground. It seems that all public land is different. I know TVA you can just camp on any spot but wasnt sure on forest land. If anyone knows where to find the regulations or the answer I would appreciate it

I wouldn't ask questions, I'd just stop, drop, and set up shop wherever you want. Worst thing that can happen is that they tell you to leave

Depends on what it is . National Forest land you camp any where for 23 days . During gun deer season you have to camp at a camping site

Bankhead and Tuskegee National forest may be different .

Durning deer gun season you have to camp at a site at Tuskegee,,,, everybody hunter or non hunter.
You habe to check in. You can not bring fire wood. You can use wood found on site . To cut dead trees you have to buy a 30 dollar permit.

My advice you need to read allllllll the rules good
