All sorts of add ons to the “life time was supposed to cover everything” license. I’m sure that’s one of them. Nothing else to buy - If you have Lifetime Hunting or Lifetime Freshwater Fishing license, you also get the benefits of the Wildlife Heritage License. ... Hunt all small game, except waterfowl, on any of Alabama's Wildlife Management Areas, Waterfowl Refuges and Community Hunting Areas (Free WMA permit required).

If you’re hunting deer or turkey you absolutely are required to have the WMA license. Duck and hog too. Forever wild land you need WMA permit for deer hog turkey duck Small game you need map and regulations and of course hunting license For fishing all you need is fishing license For National Forest land I'm guessing they all the same. You need license's and go by the set state bag limits and seasons for public land where it's at

Lifetime license holder and have to buy the mgmt area permits and privileges annually. Had a warden ask me for both on an SOA hunt a couple yrs ago.

I plan on doing some camping and I needed to know the rules . I had to find out about the over the bag limit on squirrel s. As long as I skin my Daly kill and don't have over my limit of fresh kills on me I'm ok

I wish I hadn't wasted my money on a lifetime license....all the add on permits, fees, and other crap are ridiculous. All sorts of add ons to the “life time was supposed to cover everything” license. I’m sure that’s one of them. You're exactly right, and what the department of conservation is doing would not hold up in court. When I bought my license years ago it was to 'cover all hunting and fishing'. They've found a new way to generate revenue (tax us) and will only continue to add more stipulations.

How do you figure you wasted money on a lifetime license? You still need the license regardless and it's got to be a little cheaper buying them all at once but there is a point where it's not. Now for the smart ass remark, when you gonna sue the Dept. to prove them wrong?

Now for the smart ass remark, when you gonna sue the Dept. to prove them wrong? When I hunted in hunting clubs and WMA's a lifetime license was a reasonable purchase; I now hunt privately owned land that I don't need a license to hunt on. Funny you question the 'holding up in court' statement, I called the department of conservation and several state representatives last week questioning all the new permits and fees. One state rep told me he had opposed all the new fees and that the fees and permits were enacted because the department wanted new vehicles. He concurred that he did not believe the departments fees would hold up in court. So I am actually working on seeing what can be done.

Now for the smart ass remark, when you gonna sue the Dept. to prove them wrong? Before you challenge him to seek justice in court, call a lawyer and do a little research on the costs of fighting a public agency through the courts. I think you'll find it's no longer affordable for you and me to do that. The other side will use public funds and will be represented by state attorneys who will see just how long you can afford to pay your bills. It ain't about right or wrong anymore. It's about the money.

The only way a lifetime license is a good deal is if you wanna try to beat the system and buy a lifetime before you move out of state but plan to continue to hunt in that state.
Workin for the man, huntin when I can.

I bought mine for one reason. The money for them goes in a fund that can't be spent , only the interest the money's draw can be spent . Being mad cause they dont cover baiting , night hunting ,,,,ect is just bs You gonna be mad be mad at the right things
