I’ve been trying to learn more about a little dilapidated field a few miles from my house. About a year ago I posted on Facebook asking if anyone knew the backstory and who currently owned it. Well, a couple weeks ago I saw where a small group was having a work day. Got a good bit done this morning. If any of y’all ever played there back in the day, please let me know. If you have interest in helping in the future, I can get you in touch with the right people.

I hunted that land and club for 20 years..it was belcher land and my kids played ball on that field back in the day.. there's also an old grave sight in the middle of the property that was discovered 15 or so years ago...the land got cleared years ago when they brought that big drag line through the property.

Be careful. You may put in hundreds of hours of work for someone to roll in and take any rights to use the field away from you.

I would get that part straightened out before doing anything.

Awesome. Any chance you have any pictures from playing there?

That’s cool Joe. Grew up in Bibb co and pretty sure we played either on that field or at least in the area as Dixie youth boys and majors 12-14yos when we got to “travel” to play other teams.

My oldest boy played there in the mid 90’s. My paw in law played church league softball in the late 70’s early 80’s

The wife is the picture taker...I'm sure she may have some...there's also some of us adults playing softball there as well😁
