Don’t know if this has been posted yet but congress is trying to get a bill through to add over 80000 new IRS auditors and allow the government access to every Americans financial transactions over $600 dollars. I think it’s currently at $10000 dollars. If you are self employed or own a small business be watching for this. It’s probably going to pass. They want to be able to do analysis on your spending. If you’re self employed, they can balance your mortgage, utilities, and expenses against what you report as taxable income. If the net gain isn’t high enough they will flag you to find out how much you are getting paid in cash. I’m sure this is also tied to the roll out of social credit scores which is coming in our lifetime.

I can hear Congress saying "It's to target drug dealers, smugglers, ect. We are not after the little guy."

They are coming after small business in a big way. Its the same as the local tax collector coming after the local lawn service guys while they are working a yard.

Isn’t that the amount for earned income for reporting to IRS. They want all their monies to pay for their spending ways. All the while they’ll subsidize large corporations so they (politicians) can get theirs.

There are several links. Ticktack posted one. This is not some conspiracy theory and both parties are evidently all for it. The ask for the +80000 new auditors was done so they could get that approved and in place to implement this. If you own a lawn business, small business, gas station, etc you better start being careful. The big fortune 1000 companies are all for this because the government can give them data to analyze if they’re offering some of the same services. It will cut out the middle man, meaning the guy who doesn’t generate revenues for the big corporations. The whole plan isn’t just socialism, it’s to set America up with a 7 or 8 top tier org chart of oligarchs. Each big corporation will have a place at the top of the org chart and decide what and who are under them to generate revenue for them.

I wouldn't accept a check over $599 then. Even if it's 20 different checks.

Getting financial records isn't hard. It only takes a grand jury subpoena. That $10,000 number is not a 100% correct either.

Man we have to take back our country. None of their damn business what we are spending. I hear they are even trying to tax the miles we drive on the highways, which we are already paying taxes for once if not twice. Screw those liberal aholes. You would have to be an idiot to vote for them. I hear Biden's approval rating has dropped to an all time low.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see the net worth and investment portfolio of every member of congress. What if we saw every trade they made or what they invest in. We would find every bill passed is passed to enrich themselves and their inner circle. Nothing they do is to actually help the taxpayers, nothing. I’ve noticed in every job I’ve had that every decision made is made to hit a number so a few people get a bonus or so they can kick the can down the road 2 quarters to avoid reporting negative results to the shareholders. Decisions are never made for the overall health of the business or to make a business more profitable to increase wages and benefits for the middle and lower tier employees. Sad world we live in, but it’s been going on for centuries.

Not sure about the reason why, but ALL lottery winnings over $600 must be paid out or at least processed (if you mail your proof of winning in) by the lottery headquarters.

Every winner over $600 causes a 1099 to be generated for your extra earned income.

It’s been that way for 30 some years.

Not sure if this is relatable to the OP.
