Same here. I’ve had the same one for at least 8 years and wore out the elastic. Buying the same thing again

They used to sell parts on their website. Not sure if they still do or not.....

Petzl Taktica I think is the model - I prefer green in predawn entrance to woods. This one has a green option as well as a white mode with different levels of brightness - not heavy.

Don't get the 2 for $10 ones. They mainly suck pretty bad...each one I've had seems like the lights comes detached from the strap everytime you take it off your head and some can be a beyotch to constantly put it back together.

The black diamond ones are really good. You can adjust the brightness and it saves it for every time you turn it on. For those times when you need maximum brightness its like spotlight...just keep batteries on hand if you constantly use it wide open like that

I use a TruLite TH25. It's only about 500 Lumens but it takes one aa battery and can be adjusted so it will come on at any brightness. I use that and a mini Mag led on my fishing trips. Between the two 6 aa batteries will last me 9 days without being conservative

Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it. Make mine a 30WCF.

I've owned cheap ones and I've owned expensive ones. They all last about the same amount of time.

The best/brightest I've found are the Energizer Lamps that you can find out the checkout line at Lowe's.

I like ones just bright enough see the ground. Any brighter seems to glare in my glasses and cause more problems than solve.

I like a streamlight bandit clipped on the bill of my cap. Its a tiny headlamp that throws out pretty low lumen light in a wide pattern in front of you, beam doesn't really travel more than 10 yards or so but it lights up the entire area around you. You can buy a version with a green led option.

I keep a streamlight polytac in my pocket if I really need to light up the woods with a beam, that joker doesn't play.

I got one of the caps with the light built into the bill for Christmas a few years ago. Full transparency, I hated the gift. Thought it was cheesy, silly. That was before I put it one one morning. I love this thing! The best part is that IT IS ALWAYS THERE. I never have to dig around for my light. I can't tell you how nice it is to be digging around in a dark truck bed and "click" I have light. It also tends to not create as much glare on my glasses. And, it never gets knocked off or caught on brush. If you were like me and thought negatively of a lighted cap, you should try one. I do keep a stronger headlight in my bag for the times more light is needed.

NEBO headlamps. Have a USB charger that works in your truck if you have the ports. 5 settings- bright to way too damn bright... and red.

The only downside of rechargeable headlamps is if they go dead while you're out hunting/camping/hiking/etc........not always somewhere you can plug them in. With battery powered ones, you can just keep a couple extra AA batteries in your pack and keep on truckin.

I’ve had the energizer and while they are decent, I prefer my black diamond, multiple colors and brightness levels I’ve had it for a couple years and would say that it’s worth the few xtra $
