Being a member of a union for almost 34 years I've learned all officer of the union are going to bash a republican president and push for democrats. I just don't look at that nor do I let it influence who I vote for.

That's the only reason I put my name in the hat. Well that and the fact one of my opponents is a career politician. I feel like no politician should be on the board except the ones that are on it because of their position. Governor appoints 3 spots, three more are on it automatically. So I don't think we need to elect more ourselves to the other slots.

Retirement Systems of Alabama I’m assuming Yes. And Bonner is liberal democrat. He constantly bashes Trump and his supporters in the monthly flyer. But he has kept the pension solvent at a much lower cost than the Koch brothers charge other states and he has kept that money out of the hands of politicians. I don't give a rat's arse about his political beliefs as long as they don't influence his job performance, especially when his job performance affects my billfold. As for the flyer, I look at it to see the dates for discounts at the resorts and that is the extent of my reading it. X2!!

I am all for a drop program but only if it can be done without hurting RSA. It was set up to benefit a few HIGH salaried people last time and hurt the system. Same with retiree raises. If we can find funding for them I will work hard to get them. I already been talking to a State Senator that has sponsored bills for us in the past.He liked my idea of funding retiree raises with a small cut from any future gambling bill that passes.
