I have type 2 diabetes and don’t really want the covid shot , but realize that if I get covid ( which I’m pretty sure will happen eventually)I might not have a good result. Are any of you that have had covid diabetic ? Do you you believe the virus was worse on you and your recovery longer because of being a diabetic? Just trying to work through my decision. It’s not worth the risk in my opinion. I took the J&J and have no regrets. I have health issues and I don’t want that crap again. Most people are making big deal over it because of politics and the media.

I have type 2 diabetes and covid. Everybody reacts differently. I have not had a bad reaction to the virus. Just mild. My mother is diabetic and fully vaccinated. She caught the virus just as easily as i did. She had to get an infusion but is about over the virus.

My wife is and had Covid September-October last year
Got her first jab 2 weeks ago
Her job requires her to be among hundreds of people is in he reason she decided on the he jab

I am Type 2 and had Covid. Spent several days in the hospital. Doc says I was close to a respirator. After all that when he suggested I get the vaccine I didn't hesitate. Moderna for me.

I’m diabetic and had COVID in December. Lasted about three days of feeling tired. Fever never got above 100. Lost smell for about 6 weeks. My son and wife have it now. They did not get it in December. I may have had it due to one day of feeling like I had it last week, but I was fine the next day. The only thing I have done to help fight it was a glass of apple cider each day when I felt bad. I’ve never claimed to be “normal” though.

Im diabetic, 52 years old. Had the china flu around new year's. Slight fever and aches for about two days. Lost taste and smell a few days later and that lasted almost two months. Fatigue was also an issue for a while.

Same with me. Spent 6 nights in ICU on cpap, 4 of the 8 in ICU with me didn’t survive. I took it, and will take a booster if offered, don’t want any of that again.

Well if you had the Moderna, you'll need a booster before Winter, and probably another before Spring/Summer

One thing I'm positive of is that there would be fewer of the anti-vaxxers on Aldeer if they had gone through what we did. If I had not had the experience first hand I would probably feel the way they do. Going to bed one night thinking you have about got it whipped and waking up on the floor the next morning and having to wait until your wife comes to check on you because your muscles barely work is no fun and I won't even get into the most unpleasant detail.

Type 2 had covid in October lost smell and taste for 4-5 days and headache. I am going to get the vaccine now, my Dr. was my personal friend since kids, she knows where I stand about not getting but said its cheap insurance against the other strains and I got a wife and 2 kids to provide for. Takes the decision out of it now

Its simple economics, they made the virus in a lab along with the vaccine to make money and use politically but its all about the money mostly, I gave up on politics and being a banker a long time ago. Its free to me and if it keeps me working and leaves a hospital bed for someone in need Im gonna do it now. Reluctantly yes. Dont know who that bed may help. Also must say I come in contact with lots of people with work.
