Last year I bought some shrink tubing that was really more durable and did an awesome job covering my Summit climbing treestand cables! Well, after using the "better/more durable" shrink tubing, the dang cables were too thick to fit into the stand. (Don't know what else to call it. The narrow grove before the cable enters into the stand?).

Seems like someone bought some shrink tubing somewhere that worked and fit into the groves of the Summit climbing stand.

I guess I could spend $80 for 8 pieces of shrink tubing that does work. Just trying to save money and find more durable shrink tubing!

Anyone know the manufacturer, size, etc... of what works with the Summit cables? I know Summit is a popular climbing stand and I love my Summit.... the shrink tubing is just too delicate and it doesn't last hardly one season before it needs replacing.

Thanks!

Why not just buy the shrink tubing from Summit? Their website says it’s in stock for $19.95 and includes enough to do the top and bottom cable. I’ve used theirs several times and it works great.

Why not just by the cables
They aren’t that expensive

1. I want something more durable.
2. I have five Summits or ten cables I want to shrink wrap and so if I can get a more durable shrink wrap which is probably sold for industrial use and sold a lot cheaper, that's what I want to do. Durability is most important and I'm sure Summit marks their shrink wrap up a considerable amount.

What I'm looking for may not exist (better durability) as I tried a WAY more durable shrink wrap and it was too thick. Thought maybe someone had an answer and knew exactly what to buy. Guess not.

But thanks!

They sell the cables already shrink wrapped at Summit.

Yeah that was me. I bought 500 ft of CPX 300 3/4” heat shrink tubing in the October 2016. I sold a bunch here at cost and I’m still using it to replace mine each year. The best way is to just buy in bulk and sell what you do t need. I’ve got enough left for several more seasons

To answer your quest… 3/4” black CPX 300
I bought it from here in 2016:
