I don’t think the minimum tax rate implies a global tax. It’s an agreement of countries not to have a 0% tax rate. There is not global IRS yet. Correct. There are countries with zero corporate taxes now. If biden raises the US corporate taxes, companies will most likely flee to those without corp tax. By creating a 15% global minimum, the tax gap will not be attractive enough to justify the cost of moving overseas I'm not in favor of any tax hike. I wish we could go to a flat tax and every swinging d*ck pays it, even those that pay zero now because of all the credits. However, if the US corp tax goes up, which directly affects us all, at least thos global deal keeps the playing field somewhat leveled.

It's a great idea, until it's not! It only takes one Russia, or china, or any other country that is somewhat self sufficient to undercut the global minimal tax. Then companies will flock there and tell the rest of the world to keep steal more money. A perfectly good way to cut your nose off to spite your face. Oh I forgot, democrats are stupid enough to do that.

Why should any country give up their own sovereignty and be bound to this? What if a particular country finds that they can do amazing things for their economy with a 0% tax rate? Should they be obligated to tax those companies because the globalization crowd says so? No. Remember Trump and America first? The point isn't just us being first. It means every country should be doing what is best for its citizens. Letting other countries overstep your sovereignty isn't right.

That sounds great, but we are talking about ways for the elite to steal TRILLIONS of dollar. There is a list of politicians in congress that would/have sell out America in a second for $$$. They have D's, R's, and I's next to their names.

Yup, Zimbabwe and Nigeria are gonna get rich quick. Labor is already cheap in those countries. If it made good business sense to build companies there, they would already be there. Labor force is lacking.
