For the love of all that is good and kind, someone please tell me how to get rid of these jokers. Sinks are clean and we pour bleach (which clearly does nothing) in them every night. There is no rotting fruit or food, no leaks or wet wood. It’s an endless supply of them.

The fly tape over a small bowl of apple cider vinegar, soap, and water has thinned them but they’re still above sinks every single day

We get them and cant get rid of them. Usually around this time of year.

Me too, I’m did use a product by Zep and it helped a lot. Pour it in at night band don’t use sink till morning ( if I remember correctly).
Also a guy from cooks pest control said they had something to kill them, don’t sure what it is.!

Try pulling the P trap out and cleaning it out thoroughly. I think they may like the bleach🤣! I finally got rid of them by cleaning every bit of soap buildup out of the traps and pipe.

They seem to come in waves. When we start seeing them, we keep to drains stopped for a few days and they disappear after that.

When we get them at the cabin I just pour some permethrin in the drain then seal it overnight. That has always worked for me.

Pine-sol and cover the drain for the night worked for us

If you have a marble shower they could be coming for under the shower floor.

Vinegar down the drains.

Check your shower drain and clean out all the hair that’s down in the drain that you can’t see. Also remove and clean the p traps and sink drains. I bet you’ve got hair piled up somewhere. My wife is bad about sending long hair down the drain. Build up and I end up cleaning it out.

If hair causes them, they would dark out the sun. We are constantly battling it in the shower and her sink. They are in the bathroom but not many. Mainly in the kitchen

I was renting a house to a girl and she called to tell me she had flies in the house. I removed the grate on the shower drain and proceeded to pull out a 20 oz cup of hair hanging on by a few hairs. Then she had a similar issue in the kitchen. Took off the trap and pulled out a 4 plastic straws she had put down the drain. Problem solved but then it starts all over again.

The caulk around our shower doors was starting to let go, and they were actually coming from under that. I had exhausted all the options on the drains to no avail....

Unzip your pants when you go to the sink, may not get rid of them but will keep them out of your eyes for a minute

Don't forget about the drain for the washing machine.

They don't call them dog pecker gnats for no reason

Man I'm glad I'm not the only ones that is having issues with this right now. We have never had a problem like this in the 18 years we owned our house.. as soon as I get home I will be cleaning all the traps and sealing the Darwin's after I fill them full of vinegar or something

They make fruit fly traps that will work for those pesky things

Don’t know about in your house but I’ve had luck with the stuff (liquid) that you pour into black tanks in an camper. Pour some in the sink and shower drains and let it sit as long as possible. Pretty sure the brand we use is TST, orange scent. Don’t know if different brands would make any difference.
