Cahaba Snake Trap. They’re a really simple design but they just flat out work.

I know you can put chicken wire around a post and they will get stuck on it if they try and climb it.......I saw this technique being used to protect bird houses years ago at the Dixon Center

Probably just harmless water snakes. Not sure why you'd go to that effort for something so harmless.
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

I live in Mohawk Estates on the lakeshore slough side. I have killed 8 copper heads this year and seen at least 5 more. Napalm is looking like the way to go Reaper. LOL Well, you do live right in a perfect area for copperheads and timber rattlers. All that exposed rock don't help a bit, LOL.

If you put a trot line in the water you’ll have turtles and fish to deal with. If you put in on land you’ll catch your neighbors dog or cat. Don’t waste your time with chicken wire. Ping Pong Balls will work. Guess they look like bird eggs to them. Maintenance free long lasting and want harm non targeted critters. https://www.ebay.com/itm/144-Practi...176933398?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286Also get a couple yard cats. Good to have around.

Cahaba Snake Trap. They’re a really simple design but they just flat out work. Shouldn’t you be promoting catch & release tactics?
