Me and my wife are looking to take a few days to go somewhere. Not looking for gulf shores, or Panama City type places, looking for something not so “popular”. Something that has a hole in the wall restaurant that looks run down but has some fine seafood type of place. Any suggestions or point in the right direction will be much appreciated. I understand they’ll be a crowd no matter where we go, just tired of the same ole places I guess you could say.
A friend, the Bible and a banker will get you though about anything.

x2 We rented a permanently docked houseboat on VRBO a couple years ago at at little marina right on the river in downtown. Great little oyster bar down the street and a run down looking shack retardant called Caroline's was within walking distance also and had some great seafood. 15 min drive to St George Island if you want to go to the beach with tons of public beach access with no crowds.

Apalachicola is nice, I let my wife hit the shops, I stay close to the brewery.
Another place we go is the Coker creek Tennessee area. We rent like to rent a cabin, take food to grill. There are several places to hike, not a whole lot of visitors on that side of the mountain.

Port st Joe and cape San blas ain’t what it used to be. It has been discovered and becoming more and more crowded each year. I don’t even care to go anymore. Never stayed in Apalachicola but might try it out if i ever get a chance to go

We have a vacation planned to St George Island next month. I’m hoping it’s exactly as you describe. Dauphin island not bad I know I have family that are vacating at St. George this week and reports are that they love it.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
