Ours went up $2.55 a acre. Keeping it this year then it won’t be worth hunting next year. 🖕

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I did notice rms isn’t the lease holder anymore.

I can promise you this; lease prices will continue to go up, regardless of the landowner, and land to lease will become harder and harder to find.

Very true. My land may not be the best of the best but I refuse to drop it because I know the odds are against me on finding more. Been trying for years now and nothing.

One of the reasons I have pretty much given up deer hunting. The quality isn’t there for the prices being charged these days. I hate it for my boys but they have other interests, which takes up our time, so...

I completely agree! I have drastically cut back my hunting. I'm holding on a small tract of land that only i hunt. If and when i lose it or it gets to expensive. I'm going to take up fishing year around. I've killed my fair share of deer, and my daughter isn't into it as much anymore. This sport we love has become a rich man's sport. I have more important things i need to spend money on.

Now he's goin' home this time to stay
Where the roots run deep on the family tree
And the tractor rolls through the fields of green

Does rms lease out small portions. Instead of having to lease an entire tract can you break it up i to manageable pieces?

I lease 200 acres and it is a manageable tract for a family. But not when they go up $500 in one year.

I got out of RMS lease I was in, but they went up a $1 acre to $10.50 / acre this year for the guys who stayed in according to paperwork received this week.
