it's a 2007 model that appears to be in very good shape, never wrecked. it'll need fresh tires. i know tacomas with that much mileage get mucho respect here. same for the FJ? interwebs market says average price for such is $12,500-$14,500 or so ...

"2WD" and "FJ" do not belong in the same sentence.

Unless the FWD does not work. That may be why it is listed below market value.

I was going to say something, so glad you broke the ice.

To me a 2WD FJ is like buying a 2WD Jeep. What's the point.

My Dad had an FJ for a while, and it seemed way underpowered, it felt bigger than it was because it was like driving a gun turret with the narrow windows. He had it about a year before he traded it off, and I think he had to replace the windshield about 3 times on one year. They are prone to breakage, because they are so vertical.

Never had issues with mine feeling underpowered (did do a few performance mods) same motor as the Tacoma, and mine pulls my 18' foot boat, or 12' foot trailer and full size ranger just fine. The windshield is crap, and expensive because of the trim piece at the top having to be replaced also. Mine needs replacing now bad, but i don't wanna replace it yet lol. I actually went to replace it earlier last week but didn't have time, and on the way home that day and truck shot over in front of me and BAM i got a shiny new chip the size of a nickel 🤬🤣

While 4WD is preferred to answer your question I think it’s worth $10,500. Always check the pulse by searching auto trader and see what they’re running for.

Earlier models were plagued with rear axle seals going bad and leaking (I've already replaced both of mine and added a ARB breather kit) one happened under warranty, the other side was not 😡 Some have transmission shudder issues, and that little "bump" from the drive shaft that the Tacoma had issues with. Had my drive shaft replaced under warranty.

It may be just a perception. My Tacoma "felt" underpowered to me too. It may have more to do with the throttle programming. My Nissan Frontier on the other hand feels like it wants to just off the line and spin the tires if you aren't careful with the throttle when starting out.

I added a throttle body spacer to mine and it made a difference

thanks, guys. 4WD is not a need. this would be our car camping vehicle, and the bride's daily driver when it is not scooter weather. the price is family related, and it IS a good deal, based on the market alone. the windshield business is interesting. this one has a new windshield. we've had cracking issues on the two scion XBs we have owned, including the one we have now. the windshield is closer to vertical, like the FJ's.

The windshield issue would be an issue on my Wrangler too, if it wasn't for the fact that it only gets driven around Ft. Payne, the dirt roads and on the trails up here.

Oddly enough, my Wrangler is an '03 that I've put 160k on... with the original windshield. It has 1 star and 1 small crack on the bottom passenger side since probably 2005, but has remained unscathed since then.

Problem I've had is, stuff always seems to hit the corners, and cracks with no way to repair

I always thought the FJ was one of the best looking designs. Would like to see Toyota come out with a scaled down version 2wd and 4wd reasonably priced.

Don't take my comments wrong. I've always thought the FJ was a cool design and you have to give Toyota credit for coming out with it years before Ford decided to re-Bronco the Bronco.

Yeah, one might say an FJ is a Taco with a unique SUV body on it , but it ain't a RAV by any stretch.
