Lol I ran out last year on Guntersville close to a marina and I called a friend to run down to docks and ask for someone to tow me and and he found someone and it turned out to be a distant cousin...talk about random

Last time I ran out of gas (broken gauge) I told wife no problem I got 5gal in the back. Negative ghost rider. Somebody done stole the spare gas can. Middle of the night, lake is a ghost town, and we’re a mile from the pier. That’s a long swim pulling a 22ft Bennington.

I knew I had enough to make it to the fishing hole and back once. But a cloud came up. So I ran got under the bridge. Rode it out. Started back to the hole. Ran out. I trolled back to the Warrenton Causeway. Called my bro and he brought me 5 gallons. I never cut it that close again. The missus was with me and she was not amused.

I ran our yesterday in our John Deere Gator. Fuel gauge is under the driver seat and I never check it. Me and my Border Collie were out just piddling and we had a long walk back. Trouble is, this is not the first time this has happened to us! Guess I will see if I can train my dog to check the fuel before we leave next time.
I can't stand a thief.
