I fail to see the issue with him escorting his family down. I fail to see the issue if he wanted to take a few days off period.

I didn't have an issue with him doing it, either, but apparently lots of people did. And, AOC managed to go to Texas and help give out food and the optics sure make her shine (much to my annoyance).
