I always stop at the one down here whenever I go to Foley to see my kids. I've always gotten the chopped brisket and to me it's pretty good. This past Saturday I decided to try the pulled pork. It had a good taste but man was it salty, too much really. Otherwise I don't really have no reason to be down that way much. I got nothing against the place, when I'm down there and want one I stop and if not I don't. Simple to me, if you want it then do it and if not then don't.

I went last week. Its neat for a convenience store. They have a decent breakfast with biscuits and croissants. I would not drive 30 minutes to go to one though. if I passed by it I might stop and grab something to eat. The no lines at the gas pumps is a big plus though .

I live in Odenville and visited Buc-ee's the day it opened. I do not understand how these people around here are acting about this place and the bbq. I wished they would get excited about a few of the BBQ restaurants around here and spend some of their money there to support a small business. The brisket sandwich was OK at best, and was worse than our worst BBQ restaurant around here. I was more impressed by their firepits, smokers and their general efficiency more than anything. Best brisket in Alabama is in Odenville, AL at Charlie's BBQ. IMO. I try to get up there every couple of weeks for brisket day. It's worth the drive from Bham. They are good but I like R and R which is across the road from Charlies.
