So Dad just bought a place over there. I have never fished that system one minute in my entire life. I hear there are some decent fishing around those parts, not spectacular but good. What says you gurus of all things fins?

Me and my brother fished holt lake for years and years with my granddad and have some of the best memories on that stretch of water. Great crappie fishing there.

Huge spots in holt and riverview which is the next stretch down I've caught spots over 7 out of both my dad caught a 10lb largemouth up there with me a few years ago we caught a bunch of 30lb+ stripe biggest average size crappie I've ever seen anywhere. It's been a down year I think mainly because of the pressure. the fishing at the dam isn't what it used to be I don't go to the dam very often anymore for that reason.i Believe those big spots up there have been took out of there in coolers by the live bait guys I've seen up there. There's a ton of offshore structure old barges several blown up dams. Most of your big spots and lm are going to come from the deep cover.

I saw on Warrior River Crappie fishing page where a guy caught a 3 pound crappie last weekend. I am headed up to the new place this weekend and gonna wet a line.

He bought the house just north of Bluff Creek, at the end of Eagle Path. I am looking forward to the weather warming up just a bit and start looking for some fish. '
