Has anyone seen any rutting action in these Counties yet? It has been a slow month for us, hopefully it picks up soon.

They should start roaming in the next couple weeks. Our place in Burmuda peaks around Jan 21. If Thursday ever gets here we will be at the camp till the beginning of February.

I am in the extreme SE corner of Wilcox. Our S. Property line is 500 yds from the Monroe Co. Line. I had a 4 year old 115-120" 8 point running a doe for 2 hours on Sunday morning. A small 7 joined the chase for about 20 minutes and lost interest. They finally got tired of running and she bedded down 20 yards to the north of me. He bedded down 35 yards to to SW of me (downwind) but never winded me. They stayed bedded down for about 45 minutes and resumed the chase. It was an awesome hunt and glad to see it is starting to heat up.

That’s what I heard. Ms. Debra at Monroe sausage and meats in Beatrice sent me the pics. We got to know her through our neighbor. They are really good friends. She thought it was killed over in burnt corn. Belleville is only a couple miles from our place. Well burnt corn is only 4 miles. Basically same area. Congrats to your nephew.
