Go see a doctor. Could be an underlying issue related to potassium and magnesium as others have mentioned. I wouldn’t play around with any potassium supplements without seeing a doctor first. Too much potassium can cause major issues like death

Back in the 80's a group of us would go to South Dakota pheasant hunting an two of the guys would keep a bottle of vinegar by their bed. I got the cramps my self and they gave me some. It works an keep some on hand today. Pickle juice taste better. Buy the way I take 2 potassium pills a day DR's order.

I kept ignoring symptoms like leg cramps and looking forward cures elsewhere instead of doing the right thing and seeing a doctor. Go see your doctor, get a blood test and rule out something more serious. Then you can go back to eating mustard in your stand. Really?

It’s your life but issues like you are having are also early symptoms of kidney disease and are no joke.

Taking magnesium and potassium without bloodwork is very dangerous In it’s own right.

Had same issue for years especially when bird hunting in heavy cover.
Assumed it had to do with wearing heavy boots and slogging through thick
ground cover. Always happened at night during sleep. Best thing I found was
a percussion massager and use it prior to hunting and as soon as I finished.
Tried extra stretching and never could stick to it long enough to see if it would
help. The pain was some of the most excruciating I’ve ever experienced and this
has eliminated any issues. I still can tell when they are starting to tighten up,
especially in turkey season, and I go ahead and start using massager about 2
minutes at a time several times a day.

Rubber boots in general are bad for your feet. Especially being in them for 12 hours. Reason why I quit wearing them.

Glad that you resolved the issue with no health problems causing it.

Oh, I forgot to mention, they doctors have advised my wife to take an acid reducer to help with the cramps she experiences in her legs. I don't know what an acid reducer has to do with leg cramps, but they have helped her. It is just an over the counter acid reducer.

If you find a good alternative post it up.

My place is really wet and the muck books work well, but I can't stand walking long distances in those boots.

iam not a doctor, but venous reflux can cause cramps. last year I had a leg issue that lasted 3 weeks of intense pain after sitting in my climber, doctors couldn't figure it out. hurt so bad I couldn't even watch tv. but with no swelling. iam 48 and glad I haven't seen it since. I now try to stand up every once in a while, those hanging seats aint good on the legs.
