Does anyone ever hunt this land? On Maps it seems like a big tract.

I've scouted it. Seems like a lot of private ground mixed in. I'm sure there are some honey holes in there but it may take a long time to find them. Finding locals that don't allow hunting that border the place would be my first goal if I was serious.

The Pinhoti trail crosses highway 278 and there’s a parking lot there right before you start up the 3 lane hill.
A lot of folks park there and hike in.

Yep. Low deer density in that area. Not saying you can’t kill one as folks do but just don’t expect there to be tons of deer running around. You need to do your homework on the boundary lines as trespassing isn’t a great idea around there.

I use to hunt outside of the Chocolocco Management Area, in the NF. Saw a lot of deer.
