Had this truck about a year 130K on clock. Front end rattles like hell & sounds like it is about to come off when I hit a pretty good series of pot holes going 5-10 mph. This has rack and pinion steering not box. Could not really find anything other than the steering box fix on 2nd gen and 2500/3500 models. Don't offer a stabilizer. Could it be shocks? Anyone with a clue how to stop it?

I’ve got the same truck. I actually put shocks in it Friday. Helped a little.

I've got an 06 2500.I had to rebuild my frontend.Mine would start bouncing and only stopping would stop it.

I’m going to say your sway bar links are worn out and need replaced.

Perch, that is the "death wobble".

Thanks for the suggestions.

well if your steering is real loose there's a lag adjustment screw for the rack and pinion. Its as easy as turning a locknut and screw. you just don't want to overtighten it or your rack and pinion will wear out. others mentioned shocks and stuff, but also don't forget about motor mounts.
