Watched Arab defeat Boaz tonight, was good to see young men playing because they love to, for the memories they shall have, and not for the goal of the infamous "next level" or the almighty dollar. Thank you Lee Ozmint for leading those young men in a Godly manner.

I went again last night and watched them throttle Albertville. Guntersville is as well balanced a team as I've ever seen. There are no stand out players because they're all good. Their biggest weakness is that they've not been tested in a game all year. They've literally only had to play one half of football in every game. The best of my recollection they've only trailed in one game this year and that was the first drive of the Fairview game when Fairview scored on their first drive. Guntersville finished the season 10-0 and outscored their opponents 500-79. They were up on Albertville 54-0 at half and that ended up being the final score.

They will probably get rolled once they get out of northeast Alabama in the playoffs...like North Jackson used to do.

Winner of Guntersville vs Hayden, gets the winner of the pleasant Grove vs Mae Jemison. Will probably be Guntersville vs Pleasant Grove. Hopefully we will just show up and give Guntersville a game. On a good note, get to eat at Top of the River :-)

Not 100% on that, Ramsay already beat them and Alexandria is pretty good also. Time will tell

Heading to pinson valley, my boys from Arab are playing there tonight. Turnage should break 4,000 yards tonight, and be Arabs all-time top running back.

And Ramsay lost their best defensive player in that game for the season. Chop block took out his knee.

Good golly. That sounds like the Grissom of the late '80s and early 90s.

I looked again and Grissom actually had -26 yds in the first half. It was 6 yds passing and -32 yds rushing.

Final, Thompson 49 - 7.

Thompson is legit the best high school team I’ve seen in years. Maybe even ever. The shut mountain brook out 31-0. Mountain Brook averaged 30 points a game and the defense only gave up 7 points a game outside Thompson.
