AU, if you are semi retired in 15 years I’ll take you to Perry’s steak house and buy you a ribeye 😀

If you plan on having kids you can kiss that 15-20 year plan out the window. They are more expensive than you could ever imagine.

Worse case I don't make it, no reason I can't give myself a goal.

3rd generation bricklayer till I decided I wanted out of construction. Went to college and finished with a business degree. Had a friend who's Dad worked for oil & gas company in TX who hired me right out college. Moved to TX and stayed 16yrs. Stayed 4 yrs with 1st company then went to work for another company in the oil and gas, then left and started a contractor business until my current company and owner ask me to close my shop and come on board. I often think back on my visions for that company, and where it might today but after 24 yrs with my current employer I have no regrets. I was able to help him build his business and we have been bought 2 times in last 8yrs. It's been a good ride !

Do you work at the Decatur Plant? Irish Jr. works there as a Network Engineer. I sent a PM.

No regrets here. Graduated law school in 92 with minimal debt. Did insurance defense in Huntsville for almost 4 years and felt The urge to go back to small town Alabama. It’s been a good ride.

I would have joined the military and been Special Forces or something. After making shift leader at McDonald’s I probably would have punched some drill sergeant for getting my face.

I should have been a doctor or lawyer....too old to do either now....so I’ll just stick with my financial advisor gig...its been putting food on the table for 20 years and I get to help people prepare for retirement. Not the most exciting job in the world, but very rewarding and validating at times.
