Getting old sucks! I reckon I knew better but I enjoy doing my own mechanic work. That rear brake job on my truck yesterday has my wrists so jacked up this morning that I'm hating myself for doing it. I reckon I'm gonna have to accept the fact that I can't do some of the things that I enjoy when it comes to hands and wrists getting the brunt of the work. One more project this fall regardless and go from there. I'm 3/4 finished rehabbing an outboard on my son's boat and gotta get that done. Did I mention that getting old really sucks?

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Getting old sucks, but beats the alternative. I moved about a ton of rock by hand yesterday. I had to hold my hands under hot water this morning to loosen up my joints. Got another ton or so to go

Been dealing with it in my neck and back and sometimes in my hands
It is no fun at all but it beats the alternative of not getting old

There's lots of things you can do with diet and therapy that can help.Do all you can,as long as you can. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I had to move a sleeper sofa down one flight of stairs on its end yesterday. Took 4 Tylenol and went to bed at 8 last night. Man was I a whipped pup.

Sleeper sofas are the devil

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

My rheumatologist gave me samples of this before it became over the counter. I find it works when my hands and feet get into turmoil. We picked it up at Costco. Read the labels though because it is like aspirin.

I believe the thing that will cause me to eventually have to give up fishing is gonna be tying a knot. My fingers just won't do what my brain tells them and it sometimes takes me 10 tries to tie a usable knot. I try to compensate by preparing 8 or more reels at home and then just switching to another reel when a line breaks, but sometimes I still have to struggle with one on the water. That I can't see it doesn't help things either.

It hurts

I'm a few months away from being 70 years old. Now before I plan on doing anything labor intensive I have to factor in the estimated down time for afterwards grin

Tylenol or Advil? Tylenol is acetaminophen. Advil is ibuprofin. Don't think you are supposed to take that much Tylenol. But when I hurt I take 4 ibuprofin 3 or 4 times a day till I get better. Thank god for ibuprofin.

The doctor gave me this tube of 1% diclofenac sodium topical gel for a steal from the pharmacy for a small nominal fee of $36 and some change. That’s with insurance. Some people may get good results but this Ol boy hasn’t yet.
