I freak out when mine drift 30ft down the beach still in the surf. once my son ran up to the showers to get his flip flops without me seeing him i nearly had the whole beach shut down lol

Many years ago, in Ft Walton Beach, my wife and I were returning to our condo in the early morning hours. We found a 3 year old boy alone on the elevator.
Turns out, his parents and aunt/uncle had two different condos rented. The boy had slipped out of his condo, evidently planning to go see his aunt, but having no idea how to work an elevator.
Details are too many to post, but the short story is that we finally returned him to his parents a couple of hours later.
The sheriff deputy, who assisted us, had some choice words of wisdom for mom & dad.
