Anyone use them besides me, I feel the trick is at least 42mm.

I won’t use anything smaller, I think thats how they get a bad reputation.

I’m not a big Bino fan, I have some pretty expensive glass and really don’t use them at all.

A good inexpensive one is the 10x42 Pursuit from Bass Pro.

I have a Minox 8x42? I think it’s 42, anyway. It’s handy for bow hunting and turkey hunting, but I still use binos mostly. The mono is lighter, smaller, and easier to always have on you.

Binos r nice but most of the time they just let u see what u can't kill 😀

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I had one once and it was a cheapo. Couldn’t hold it steady enough to be of much good to me.
What brand y’all using?

Minox.....Vortex and others make some. The more you use GOOD binos (or even a monocular), you’ll start using them more and more. Sure, sometimes things happen too fast, but sometimes glass gives you answers your scope won’t, and can keep you from getting busted running and gunning on turkeys and using handhelds in a stand requires a lot less movement than putting your scope on something, whether you think it’s right or wrong to use a scope that way. The monoculars are just good for being half the size and weight of a bino. If you’re not picking apart cutovers all day or glassing whole hillsides, but just using them to ID, check out something closer, or clear an area before you move through and bump something, they’re more than good enough. I probably use a cheap pair of 6x30 leupold BX-1s more than anything, though. They just seem to work for our hunting, and they’re small and light. That’s just me, though.
