raggedy ol' Bear Grizzly, 58-inch, 45 pound recurve. me-built 11/32 cedar shaft arrows, three fletch 5-inch shield cut feathers, self nock, 31-inches, 160-grain grizzly glue-on broad heads. i draw about 30 inches, so really about 50 pounds. i shoot off the shelf, tab, three-fingers under. i have easton gamegetter xx75 store bought arrows set up similarly that shoot same POI as wood arrows ...

Been shooting a Martin mamba for 20 plus years.bad thing limbs look twisted and I've shot it so much I'm wondering if it's safe to shoot.thinking of buying another recurve and going back to traditional all together.tradional is so easy and I've got so much crap tools, presses and accessories for these compound bows it's crazy

sort of...I put a rattlesnake skin on it, just for looks

I did put a sinew backing on a short longbow I made...added about 7 pounds to it and increased speed.

my old bear grizzly developed slight twists at the tips, killing consistency, so i replaced her with a spyder takedown recurve, 62 inches, 48 at 28, so about 50 at my 30-inch draw. same arrows as above. the longer bow shoots much more smoothly, very consistently ...
