I will try to keep this short as the back story could fill a book the size of a Webster’s dictionary. Over 20 yrs ago My wife and I gained custody of my 8 yr old daughter from my first marriage but due to some liking and deception from my brother and his wife, they ended up with her about three years afterwards and I never saw nor heard from her again. About three years after that my brother passed away and his widow left the state with her and remarried. They moved back to Alabama years later but during all of this my daughter was told that we didn’t t want her and that we hated her while we were told pretty much the same about her. Back in March of this year my wife and I received a friend request on Facebook from her; we talked about it but wasn’t sure about what to do. I finally told her to accept it if she wanted to and I did the same. She and messaged each other and then she called me that same night as I was heading back from my Ohio run and we talked for about 6 hours. We talked every day after that, and when we moved she came to visit. After nearly nine years of marriage and three boys, she is getting divorced, he left her and the boys only for them to have the power and water cut off and then evicted as he had not paid the bills for awhile. She moved in with someone(this was last year) but it was not working out so my wife and I decided that they could move in with us if she wanted. My daughter thanked me but declined and then they came for the Fourth of July and spent the day and had a blast; the following Monday she called and asked if the invitation was still good. I picked them up that Wednesday when I came back from my run so this week will make it four weeks of them living with us. I never would have dreamed that after 20 yrs my oldest daughter would be back with us, I can’t describe how thankful I am for this chance to be a part of her life She had a horrible childhood, due in part to her biological mother, my parents, and my brother and his wife, a life that no child should ever have to face. It’s hard not to be angry at the years that we can never get back, so much time was lost that cannot be made up, but I thank God for this opportunity, while I was already a grandfather to a beautiful 6 month old girl, I am now a grandfather to a 7, 5, and 1 yr old boys.

SBO,

God works in mysterious ways. Happy for you.

Now as my late ex-father in-law used to say...go make memories.

Let’s hope them boys like getting outside. Cause you’ve got some new hunting and fishing buddies.

I tell you what, that blurred my screen. God does work in ways that we don't understand and it appears that He's intervened in y'alls lives. Make the most of every minute!

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

It still seems so surreal she and I have cried so much in so many times the last 4 months. Since they have moved into the house I have taught her how to shoot and took a coon hunting the boys are next in line and plan on taking them fishing here the next day or two when I get home from my run. She is already making plans to go deer hunting with me this season as well as the boys.

That is about as awesome as awesome gets. Proud for your whole family.
